- Class of 1948 Operational Losses
August 16, 2014 - Dave Carruth has copied from a plaque in Memorial Hall. the names of our classmates who were lost through operations. He has added dates and cause of death where he had the information. If any Classmate knows the information where question marks are shown, please let Dave know. We commend Dave for performing this momentous task which gives us another opportunity to honor our classmates and comrades who have paid the ultimate price for our country. Today we are introducing his fifth essay, Calls Made And Not Returned, the story of a Rear Admiral making a call on his Army counterpart in which the Admiral arrived by a most unusual mode of transportation. June 3, 2014 - We have another fascinating story by John Fry which was from a real life experience in which his life was saved by an unexpected invitation to visit a king; however, his wife Toni was unaware of the invitation and lived several hours in sheer panic. September 21, 2013 - We have discovered that our Classmate, Tyler Dedman, is a gifted writer who has written several fascinating essays on events that he has experienced both service and civilian related. Dave and I asked Ty if he would share some of them and he has agreed to do so. We will periodically post them on this site and Dave will notify all Class emails that a new one is posted.
