SLOOP AMERICA ON NAVY DAY (13 OCTOBER 2018)

Hi, All,

From bow to stern:  John, Don (trimming the chute), Ken and me.  Steve is below (scotch?)  
In March Gunvor and I sold INTREPID and purchased AMERICA (we renamed her);  she is an 18 year old sloop, a J/105 of 34.5 ft. and a joy to handle.  Very responsive.  I’ve a Blue and Gold (of course) chute coming in November.
We are pictured preparing to pass the race leader WIND CHILD;  we beat her to the finish line for line honors.  Go Navy!
